When Alone, would you be like Ali?

Alone in worship, day and
night he would remain
For alone, your souls,
one day will also be taken.

***

He showed the world, the master of his
and every creation is only Allah.
While his isolation with God was
feared, he remained firm in his Salah.

***

Ibn Mujlim, sought a deep desire
to marry a woman, as a condition
Accepted would be his proposed,
if completed Ali’s assassination.

***

While Ali remained lost in
prayer, conversing with his Lord
Like a coward, attacked ibn Muljim
poisoning Ali with his sword.

***

In this sacred month
of forgiveness, ibn Muljim
For the sake of his desires,
betrayed this religion.

***

I wonder, are you and I
any different than him..
Before you put desires
above God, think again.

***

When alone, would you be like Ali,
lost in his Lord’s remembrance..
Or like his killer, lost in fulfillment
of desires- chosen to be forsaken.

My just leader

Only for your mother, the
doors of Kabah, opened
To give you birth, Fatima
Binte Asad, was chosen.
***

In your first vision, your eyes
saw the light of Ahmad
The protector of his nation,
Mustafa’s arms cradled.
***

When no one listened, and
accused Ahmad of his mission
You stood against the odds and
decaled your submission.
***

You then defended, Ahmad in
every battle and oppression
While others ran, for God you
remained firm in your position.
***

You became inseparable
from the messenger of God
You love grew deeper, till you
obeyed without any reward.

***

You became a definition, of how
must the lord be worshiped
You taught us how to love God,
with your actions of leadership
***

You were the only cure, for
Muhammad’s lost nation
They begged for your leadership
in tearful, desperation.

***

But you didn’t agree, instantly,
you knocked from door to door
Asking, is there anyone against
you for becoming their mentor?
***

Pleased was the entire land of Madina,
of you becoming their saviour
For only you were the, the Quran
and Mustafa’s teaching’s armour.

***

I am not surprised, after years of
your rights being unjustly snatched
They begged for you, for in God’s path
only you remained attached.
***
You are my brave, just, leader,
with calamities you taught me
As long as I remain close to God,
everything’s a test and not misery.

Honoring the Mother of Ali

I wonder about this lady, who
until her death was praised
Known as ‘my second mother’
Mustafa, repeatedly claimed.
***

From the loss of his father,
mother and grandfather
Ali’s mother, took care of
Ahmad, unlike any other.
***

She nurtured Muhammad, and
fed him before her own children
While being poor, she understood
the worth of Ahmad’s mission.
***

I am not longer surprised, why was the birth
of Ali inside the Kabah so easily granted
For a lady, who honoured the Prophet of
God, in return of her service, she was gifted.
***

She proved her obedience to Allah,
and he chose her as the mother of Ali
For by her actions, God has shown me,
what is the reward of loving this family.

Named ‘Hasan’ as a revelation

To name his first child, waited Ali,
for the Prophet’s permission
Ascended then Gibrail with the
name ‘Hasan’ being as a revelation.

***

Duplicate in many features and
morals, was Hasan to Mustafa
from the very start, he gained
noble trails from RasulAllah.

***

He received from his father,
Ali, with wisdom and bravery,
& from his mother, perfection in
character, was gained undoubtedly

***

For truly, he imitated the best of
creation in habits and qualities
And so was Hasan, raised in the
household of pure personalities.

***

At age 4, whatever, his two eyes would read,
Hasan’s mind would memorize, them instantly
Sticking next to his Grandfather, always, he
also memorized God’s revelations, blissfully.

***

Such was the love from the
Prophet to his grandson,
where he asked Allah for
his sake, to also love Hassan.

***

Now show me someone, without
hesitation who would ask their lord
to not ask forgiveness, but ‘love’, for
these personalities, we have found.

***
Isn’t that enough, for the entire world to know
about the purity of Zahra & Ali’s household
When without a doubt, no one asks for love,
unless those obedient to their lord, can uphold.

Lady Khadija

How beautifully blessed was this gifted lady
Being the first to support the messenger of All Mighty

She learned, worked, earned, and she ran her own business
She showed what is a women’s right through her independence

She believed in him while the world called him names
And she gave away all her wealth to support those in pain

She lead the 1st prayer, following Muhammad deeply
She gave birth to a Princess, who ruled heaven and earth equally

She was never a miser, nor was she ever so greedy
She did not marry him for wealth, but for him being trustworthy

And if you ever doubt yourself when others say women are of no worth
look nowhere but towards Khadija, for she elevated your status right from birth

Who loves God more ?

Once a false rumour suddenly occurred
Stating, Muhammad has been murdered

In the land of Ohud, some companions panicked,
Calming what point was this battle, without Muhammad.

Was it the fear of death, that made them scared
Or was it meeting their lord empty handed?

In Karbala, Hussain offered his companions to leave
Yet they still remained, for this life was not in their need

While Hussain was alive, they gave up their lives
Protecting him,  for their reward in heaven resides

For the ones who truly understood and loved their lord
Never feared death, and were anxious to meet their God.

When one group was too scared, while the other was too anxious
It tells me how one claims their love, while the other shows it in actions.
So now ask yourself, do you just claim, or does your action show your love for God?
For finding Him, isn’t easy, you have to give him a handful, even if it means giving blood.

Sakina’s prayer, Abbas fulfills

-Years ago, with her hands raised
She prayed for her uncle’s return,
He promised her, he would bring water, but got killed by the oppressors.

-For she too had promised the children around her,
That no matter what, her uncle Abbas will bring them water.

-In grief, Abbas was ashamed
For he could not fulfill, the little child’s request.
But now I see, millions around his shrine, without a doubt, accepting their request.

– It now makes me realize, the prayer of Sakina was indeed accepted
Since she raised her hands, with believing faith, towards her beloved.

– In return, for her sake, Abbas accepts anyone’s call
And makes sure his Lord accepts without fail and fulfills them all.
